How much does wall painting cost in Dubai?
Interior wall painting in Dubai costs AED 3–8 per square foot including paint and labour. A 2-bedroom apartment is typically AED 1,200–3,000 and a 3-bedroom villa AED 3,500–6,000.
Do you charge per square foot or per room?
We quote per square foot for accuracy, then give you a single fixed price for the room or whole property after measuring. Per-sqft pricing is fairer because it reflects the actual area painted.
Is the quote fixed or can it change?
Your quote is fixed once we’ve done a site visit. It only changes if you add work (extra rooms, colour changes, discovered damp), and we’ll always agree that with you first.
Is the paint included in the price?
Yes. Our quotes include premium paint (Jotun, Dulux, Berger or Asian Paints), itemised so you can see the brand and quantity. You can also choose a specific brand or colour.
Why is my quote cheaper or dearer than another painter’s?
The big differences are prep, number of coats and paint grade. A cheap one-coat quote with no prep isn’t comparable to a fully prepped two-coat job — and in Dubai’s climate the cheap option usually peels within months.
Process & timing
How long does painting take?
A single room takes about a day, a 2-bed apartment 2–3 days, and a 3-bed villa 3–5 days, including prep and drying. Empty properties are faster than occupied ones.
Can you paint while I’m living in the home?
Yes. We use low-odour paints and work room by room with dust sheeting so you can stay in the property throughout.
Do you move and cover furniture?
Yes — moving and sheeting furniture, masking floors and fittings, and full clean-up are all included in your quote.
What surface preparation do you do?
We fill cracks and holes, sand rough areas, treat any damp, and prime bare or patchy walls before painting. Prep is the difference between a job that lasts and one that peels.
Do you paint ceilings, doors and skirting too?
Yes. Ceilings, doors, frames and skirting can all be included — they’re itemised in your quote so you can pick exactly what you want done.
Paint & finishes
Which paint brand is best for Dubai?
Jotun leads for exteriors and harsh walls, Dulux for interior finish and colour, and Berger or Asian Paints for value. See our full brand comparison for details.
What paint finish should I choose?
Matt hides wall imperfections and suits bedrooms and living rooms; satin and semi-gloss are more washable and suit kitchens, bathrooms, doors and high-traffic areas.
Do you offer low-VOC paint for kids’ rooms?
Yes. We offer low-VOC, low-odour paints suitable for children’s bedrooms and nurseries, so the room can be used again soon after painting.
Can you colour match an existing colour?
Yes. We can match an existing colour or a reference you provide, and premium brands offer thousands of tint options to choose from.
How long should paint last in Dubai?
Well-applied interior paint lasts 4–6 years and quality exterior paint 3–5 years. Poorly prepped or cheap paint can fail within a year in Dubai’s heat and humidity.
Tenancy, handover & communities
Who pays for painting in a Dubai rental — landlord or tenant?
Tenants are generally responsible for returning the property in its original condition, which often includes repainting; landlords handle major maintenance. Your tenancy contract’s wording takes priority. See our tenant painting rights guide.
Do I have to repaint when I move out?
Many Dubai contracts require you to hand back freshly painted, original-colour walls. If you don’t, the landlord may deduct repainting from your deposit — professional move-out painting is usually cheaper.
Can I paint my rented apartment in Dubai?
Usually yes for interiors, with written landlord permission, and you’ll typically need to return the original colour at move-out. Never change exterior community colours without approval.
Do you handle community NOC and approved colours?
Yes. In managed communities like Emaar, Nakheel and Arabian Ranches, exterior colour changes need NOC approval and approved colours — we paint to the community specification.
